I’ve dropped this page here for context. The publication was created from a mix of personal experience, professional background, and a desire for greater autonomy.
The backstory on how I got here is below.
Before building this newsletter, my life was shaped by structure in a unique way. I was born in the state of Ohio, and lived in 7 different U.S. states before the age of eight, before eventually settling in South Florida.
This conditioned me to adjust to new environments from a young age.
For higher education, I attended Florida Atlantic University as a student-athlete, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in chemistry before completing a Master of Science in Data Science & Analytics.
I began my professional career in analytics while still in graduate school. Over the next 5 years, I worked across several industries, including healthcare, mobile gaming, finance, and entertainment.
These roles helped me build experience in data analysis, financial reporting, business operations, and decision support. They also gave me a close look at how companies grow & operate from the inside.
Some of those experiences were positive and deeply formative. Others made me question the long-term path I was on. Over time, I started to recognize the limits of building my entire life around corporate advancement.
The tradeoffs were becoming increasingly apparent: less flexibility, lack of job security due to labor cuts, and a growing disconnect between the work I was doing and a life that offered fulfillment.
In the year 2023, alongside my corporate work, I began exploring entrepreneurship. I invested my own capital into business ideas, made mistakes, and eventually became more interested in location-independent income.
Online business structures started to show me that there were other ways to build financial independence outside of a traditional setup.
In March 2026, I decided to offer my analytics services on a full-time independent contract basis, while also profiting from the ecommerce side of my ventures I had started a few years back. Simultaneously, I made a commitment to explore the world outside of the United States.
Through the beginning months of my travels, I realized I had a lot of observations to share, but no one to sit down and absorb all of that information. As a result, I created a weekly newsletter on my experiences and travels in different parts of the globe.
I wanted this to be a source for other like-minded and globally curious individuals, while also making a digital footprint of my experiences away from home.
The publication is built around honest, structured, and practical reflections on long-term nomad living. The goal is not to present travel as an escape from reality, but instead explore what it actually takes to build a sustainable life in a foreign country.
